Our pool heater failed in May of 2018. Luckily, it was still under warranty for parts. We contacted the original installer to troubleshoot and order the parts. The installer explained that due to his health, he could not install the parts. This took several months to accomplish. We contacted other service companies. The installation labor for the replacement part was nearly as much as a new heater. We found two pool companies to quote a new pool heater and the labor. Since the quotes were over $5000.00, we had to call a Special Member Meeting. We met and decided to replace the pool heater. We then sent the minutes of that meeting along with the dispensation to the General Governor’s office for approval. After all of that was done, we had to mail a check for 85% of the total cost to start the ordering process. The company has the check, the parts have been ordered and we are waiting on them to contact us to the estimated time of installation. Replacing this heater will improve the plumbing of the pool and increase the life of the heater from 2 years to between 5 and 10 years. We also will be getting a 2 year warranty on parts and labor. Thank you for all your patience while we tried to make the best decision for all members of the lodge.
